Vintage illustrated book on Andy Warhol

A representative work by pop art painter Andy Warhol, who was also a master of drawing. His style borrows from genres as varied as caricature and fashion illustration, with humour as a constant theme. Cats transformed into divas, enchanted flowers, sophisticated high heels and mischievous cherubs flit insolently across his sky. While his early drawings drew on the tradition of popular and folk imagery, his later works, drawn with realism, paved the way for his major subjects: the Campbell's soup can, the dollar sign and Chairman Mao.
With a selection of 250 drawings, many of which have never been seen before, created by the artist between 1942 and 1987, this book offers a rediscovery of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
